The Rexroth legacy dates back to 1795, when the Rexroth family established an iron forge in Spessart, Germany. In 1952, the company began producing standardized hydraulic components, followed by the first industrialized gear pump for mobile machinery in 1953. Rexroth introduced the first hydraulic servo valve in 1972 and became a subsidiary of Mannesmann AG in 1975. Their world-first maintenance-free AC servomotor in 1979 set new industry standards.

In 2001, Mannesmann Rexroth AG merged with Bosch Automation Technology, creating the Bosch Rexroth brand known today for excellence in drive and control technologies. Bosch Rexroth innovations continue to support a wide range of industrial and mobile applications worldwide.
