Continental Hydraulics – Pumps, Valves & More

Continental Hydraulics – Repairs, Remanufactured Units, and New Components

Yshydraulic specializes in Continental Hydraulics, offering complete repair services alongside remanufactured and brand-new hydraulic pumps and valves. Our mission is to keep your Continental Hydraulics systems running efficiently, minimizing downtime and maximizing performance.

It’s what we do – supporting Continental Hydraulics customers around the clock.

We can provide the parts you need or restore the components you already have. In many cases, your existing Continental Hydraulic pump or valve can be repaired rather than replaced, saving you time and money. All hydraulic pump and valve repairs are backed by Yshydraulic’s two-year warranty for lasting peace of mind.

When purchasing, consider remanufactured or aftermarket Continental Hydraulic pumps and valves. These options often deliver the same reliable performance as new components but at a fraction of the cost. We offer free quotes so you can compare the price of new, repaired, or remanufactured units and choose the solution that works best for your operation.

History of Continental Hydraulics

Continental Hydraulics was founded in 1962 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, as part of Continental Machines. Initially, the company focused on hydraulic components and systems for hydraulic band saws. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, its product line expanded to include directional valves, proportional valves, vane pumps, piston pumps, and complete hydraulic systems.

In 2011, the company was acquired by Duplomatic Oleodinamica in Italy, and by 2013, Fund Progressio SGR became the main shareholder. Despite these ownership changes, the brand has continued to grow under the Continental Hydraulics name, strengthening its position in the global hydraulics market.

Continental Hydraulics Valves

Continental produces a wide range of directional control valves, control modules, and stackable valve solutions. These valves are designed for applications requiring up to 300 GPM and pressures as high as 5000 PSI, making them suitable for diverse industries and challenging environments.

  • Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and Manual Options: Available with air pilot, hydraulic pilot, and lever actuation.

  • Mounting Standards: Compatible with NFPA D03 and ISO 4401.

  • Configurations: Offered in 3-way and 4-way styles, with options such as 2-position spring offset, 2-position detent, 2-position spring centered, and 3-position spring centered. Lever valves are also available with a 3-position detent model.

Continental Hydraulics Pumps

  • Axial Piston Pumps: Known for their durability and contamination tolerance, these pumps reduce maintenance costs while providing reliable, quiet operation. They are designed to deliver consistent performance as cost-effective variable volume pumps.

  • Variable Displacement Vane Pumps (Direct Spring Series): Featuring hydrostatic axial compensation distribution plates, these vane pumps improve efficiency and minimize wear. During zero flow demand, they only deliver oil to compensate for leakage, keeping circuit pressure stable and reducing unnecessary energy use.
